Size (13,5 cm), proportions and absence of ink window indicates a 144

Patern and color indicates Silver Barley?? Vermeil??

Color and star emblem look odd...

Now your turn! :)

Had a chance to inspect the pen and came to the conclusion that it is a fake. A really good fake. I don't know MB pens enough to know if that model even exists. What gave it away was:
- the quality of the inscriptions on the nib. I had a 144 with me to compare and it was clearly less crisp than the real thning.
- the converter that looked different but of a decent quality... with a marking of Mont Blanc... in 2 words :)

There was a Pix inscription under the clip but the font used looked a bit different. The serial number and Germany markings on the clip ring where there and the font and clarity was good.

I thought you guys might be interested in my little evaluation. I watched this video from sbrebrown and it helped a lot!

This is the first time I've seen this thread, and that pen is definitely a fake. I've seen plenty of these on ebay. I'm pretty sure Montblanc never even made this model in that design.

Those nibs are laser etched not engraved like the authentic ones. The snowcap top looks nothing like the authentic version either.
