The Aurora Sole Limited Edition is a gorgeous yellow-orange color that brightens even the cloudiest day. Most of my pictures were taken in indirect light. At the end of the pictures below are two I took in direct sun in an attempt to capture the true look of the material. I’m not sure that I have really captured it in either lighting, but the pen is quite bright and beautiful.
My Sole is the Optima model and is number 3462 from the Limited Edition. The pen is piston filled with an ink capacity in excess of 1 ml. A clear ink window allows the user to determine when ink level is low. The 18k gold nib is a Medium. Like all Optimas, this pen features Aurora’s “Hidden Reservoir” system. When the pen seems to run out of ink, twist the piston knob open and you get enough ink to allow you to write another page or so.
The pen measures approximately 5 inches capped and 6 1/8 inches posted. The pen has never been inked, and is accompanied by box, booklet, and unopened bottle of ink. Only the outer cardboard sleeve is missing.
This material has proven so popular that Aurora is just releasing a Model 88 in the same material. That lower priced model lists at $895 and street prices seem to be $625 to $700. But why would you pay that when you can have a never – inked top of the line Optima at a much lower price?
$425 plus $15 Insured shipping in US. Offers will be considered.
Shipment outside US may be available at cost. Please inquire.

Even trying a couple of shots in direct sunlight doesn’t capture the true beauty of this Auroloide material.
