Started using my first pen, a John Bull, in the 1940s at school - don't know what happened to it! Have bought pens on and off ever since but in the last few years have started a small collection ranging from Caran d'Ache Leman and Ecridor, Parker 51 (inevitably), Sheaffer Targa and Crest, through to a number of cheapo, but generally very good Chinese pens such as Baoer, Kiagelu, Hero, etc. Generally prefer fine, though not too fine nibs and am really a traditionalist for style. Looking to get a Monteverde Prima for my next birthday. Anyone any experience of this pen?

No experience with the Monteverde Prima but my two Monteverde pens have been good pens. Welcome to the Dark Side.

Hi Brownargus and welcome to the forum.
Some of those Chinese pens are pretty impressive for the price aren't they.
I'm also intending to purchase a Monteverde Prima in the near future.

Hello brownargus! Welcome!!

Contrary to popular belief, Parker 51 resistance is not entirely futile. They wink at me. I ignore them. They are evil.
