The cap features Platinum's Slip & Seal mechanism which is designed to prevent the nib from drying out for up to 24 months. The pen was used lightly and has no more than micro/light signs of use. Pm sent I'll take it. Too good a price not to. Inmho it's the best value for a gold nib pen and I love the slip and seal cap. I have a 3776 Nice that was ground to a .8 cursive italic by John Mottishaw. I inked it and didn't use it for 9 months. It wrote right away when I uncapped it.
