1. 1937 Parker Royal Challenger (full-sized, grey herringbone): This is the largest model, measuring 5 1/8" capped and 6 1/8" posted. First quarter, 37 date code on barrel and 7 date code on nib. Proper, semi-flex "Parker Pen" nib lays down a smooth and consistent F line. This is the same pen I recently posted about in the Parker subforum. Letting it go since I found another with the single, feather cap band, which adds more variation to my collection of 30s Parkers (most of mine have triple cap bands).
Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks, or personal engravings. No threading or nib issues. All parts present and correct. Some wear to the word 'Challenger' on the imprint (about half worn away), but the rest of the imprint is fully legible. Minor high-point brassing to the stepped areas of the clip, about 10% to the edge of the bottom cap band visible under a loupe, and the tassie shows some micro-scratches. But on the whole, the trim is exceptionally bright and clean in comparison to most of these pens with chrome plating, which was far more prone to unsightly wear. Re-sacced in the last couple months and guaranteed to be fully functional.
