Where do you folks look for pen insurance for collections? Some valuable property insurers require detailed photographs. For some items, like firearms, value is easier to establish than others. There are insurers specializing in philatelic items and collections, and from my limited experience, they don't require a lot of verification on individual items; a typical collection might contain thousands, or tens of thousands of stamps, with only a few valued in the thousands of dollars or more.
Condition in pen related collections can mean the difference of large multiples in values of pens. Are there companies specializing in pen collections? Is a simple rider on a household fire and theft policy effective, or is there a better approach?
