1) For sale is a Parker 51 Vacumatic professionally restored by Rodger Bamford of PenclassicsNZ. He has restored the filling system of the pen, replacing the diaphragm as well as tuning the nib. The pen writes a nice European fine line. The pen is in very good condition, with a superb 1/10 14 KT Gold Filled cap in very good condition. Only flaws with the cap are that there is slight plating loss at the top and that there is a dent under the clip head itself. Also, the colour of the hood itself is what seems to be Burgundy but the barrel is Cordorvan Brown. The difference is really not that noticeable.
The pen is dated for 1948 so this is probably one of the last Parker 51 Vacs made and is made in USA but the cap seems to be made in Canada, not that it matters much but I just wanted to point that out.
Overall, this is a professionally restored Parker 51 Vacumatic in very good condition with a very nice gold cap.

2) For sale is a Parker 51 Aerometric with a 1/10 12 KT Rolled Gold Cap. The pen fills with a pristine brushed stainless steel filler and what seems to be the original Pliglass sac (sadly discoloured) still in working condition. The pen itself writes a very smooth and somewhat wet European fine line. The nib is in perfect alignment, to my eyes, and seems to be smoothed very, very well. The cap itself is in quite good condition with slight plating loss near the top and some brown spots on the cap.
The flaws are that the barrel has been professionally personalised, with the name "I.W. Clark" monogrammed into it. The barrel also has a frosted look to it due to some Micromesh work that did not go properly so the barrel does look somewhat different from the hood, which is shinier.
Overall, a very solid Parker 51 workhorse with a great nib and in quite good condition.
