Not trying to be mean but why would anyone buy a second hand pen when for only $25 more they can buy it new??

$625 is the discounted price for a pen that sold for over $1000. I want to be honest to note what it is selling for now. It is in never-been-used condition.

Please make an offer if you are interested.

Works out £10 more than Uk price, and that's full rrp. I'm surprised the US price is higher than here. Nice pen by the way.

Ok, let's adjust the price then. $500

I would love for this pretty pen to have a new home. Thus price reduced to $375

Selling is supply and demand. It's incredibly rude to jump on someone's sale in the open forum

I fail to see why it is rude to ask why I would pay $600 for a used pen when the OP himself said it sells for $625. ( exact price for it brand new on Cross website and yes, it is available in that exact configuration )

Oh..and I asked because I would have been interested in the pen but not at retail for a used pen. If the pen had been the price the OP is now asking I would probably have bought it but alas, just bought a different pen.

Well, to be honest, it is slightly unappreciated when people post comments in a sales thread that could potentially undermine the sale, especially by someone who is not interested in purchasing the piece. Best to send a pm.

If it wasn't for the crazy price of shipping, I would be interested at $375

I actually WAS interested in purchasing the pen but not at full retail for a used pen. You stated the pen sold for $625 ( I looked it up on the Cross website and it does indeed sell for $625 new ) so my original statement stands...why would I pay $600 for it used when for $25 more I can get it new?

I apologize if you feel offended by my comment but I am pretty sure that most folks would do research before purchasing a " high dollar " pen and I very much doubt that anyone would pay $600 for a used $625 pen.

I think at $375 your price is more than fair and I would have bought the pen at that price if I had not just bought a different pen.

David, you made a valid point, and I adjusted the price. I just would have appreciated if you would have contacted me via pm. Not a big deal.

I'm very, VERY disappointed with how some people have reacted to this listing.
Dr.Danger was upfront and honest, he/she put the original price and his/her own asking price which happened to be $25 less than the original listing price.
The pen is new and according to Dr.Danger: "It is in never-been-used condition." - so what if he/she's listed it for $25 less than the original price? So what if you doubt anyone would pay $600 for a $625 pen? It's not your listing, it's not your money and hence; it's not your headache.

I could've somewhat understood it if Dr.Danger was selling it above the listing price and didn't inform the potential buyer(s) about how much it originally costs - but even then, he/she's allowed to sell at whatever price he/she wishes.

To answer your question, Sandy Fry: If the pen is unused as the seller claims it is, and comes with its original box and papers I'd be more than happy to save $25 and get the same pen.

Best of luck selling, Dr.Danger - whether you choose to sell it for $600 or $375. Pricing is (and should be) your decision - negotiations can be discussed in private.

Am I to assume your including me in your comments vpro? I suggest you read my comments again and a bit more carefully!!! I was just pointing out it was more than retail.in the UK. Apologies if you didn't mean me but... I suspect not as you said "some people" and only two have commented. I also was/could be interested.
