Offered for your pleasure is an extremely lightly used Franklin Christoph Model 66 Stabilis in Emerald Green with a Broad Stub nib, complete with original box, converter, FC pen pouch, and two ink cartridges. I am the original owner and Jim Crouse tuned the nib to write nice and wet while I sat in front of him.
The Model 66 Stabilis is Franklin Christoph’s award winning desk pen. The pen won a design award by PenWorld Magazine Readers for Distinctive Daily Writer in 2015. Model 66 is the larger of FC’s two desk pens and uses a #6 nib. There is a flat milled on one side that prevents the pen from rolling on a desk.
When writing about this model, Franklin Christoph says it “Features our special block threads at the end of the grip section. These smoother feeling threads are out of the way of your fingers. Placing the threads at this spot limits the amount of air within the cap chamber, thereby helping to eliminate dry out. The design of the block threads also releases the air when you unscrew so as to not create a suction effect on the ink.”
FC lists the following measurements for the pen:
capped length = 6.30"
nib tip to barrel end = 6.10"
cap posted full length = 6.85"
barrel diameter near cap = .55"
grip section smallest diameter = .42"
Weight without ink = 8oz or 22.6 grams
