As the nom de plume implies, I am an old bloke. I am also an abstract thinker and an avid, perhaps obsessive reader. I have lived on four continents and benefited from the best university education I could provide for my self. My education and a wealth of life experiences have given me a conservative view on matters philosophical, ideological and political. That said, my favourite writing instrument is my vintage Conway Stewart or my Mentmore lever fill fountain pen although most of my writing is done on a keyboard.

I do the same with a fountain pen, sometimes writing "not proofread" at the bottom before tucking the finished product into an envelope.
