For Sale is a Soennecken S19 from early 1950’s in nice condition.
(there is no imprint on the pen except SOENNECKEN, but I know that this model is similar to others called S19)
These pens are a little bit more uncommon than the successor, the 103 and made of better quality (hardrubber and brass mechanics instead of injection mold plastic). That’s what makes them quite good serviceable. An that’s what I have done. The pen was completely disassembled, cleaned, got a new cork seal and was checked.
There is only little brassing, mostly to the capband, no crackcs and no repaired cracks. The green marbeled celluloid is fine and the ink window fantastic clear. Just the usual signs of use and time. The pen works as it should…
…but the way best thing on this pen ist he nib!! It is quite springy and writes a broad, soft, smooth and juicy line. It’s pure fun to use this pen with a nice ink!
