Starting a project for my pens. I have acquired a few sheets (500) of Tomoe River writing paper and have decided to create let her bound journal using bookbinding techniques. I want to share the process with everyone.
I enjoy making books. I don't make many because the process is long and labor intensive.

I have folded the paper and created the leaves that will be sewn together.

I will post more as the process continues.

Thank you for starting this thread. I'm really looking forward to following your process.
What stitching style will you be using, and have you chosen your covers yet?
Do you know TM Lee from Singapore? He makes beautiful handmade journals using Tomoe, and other fountain-pen friendly papers. His work is inspirational.

I'll look forward to following your effort.
Side note: I had a friend decades ago who made his own paper either from recycled paper or from Paperbark tree bark.

The goat leather arrived today. I will be dying it and getting ready for the cover as the next steps.... I'm still waiting for Italian marbled paper for the end pages...
