Pilot has just released a new pen under the name of Justus 95. As the old Justus from the 1980s, the nib can be adjusted to be more or less flexible. Old version on bottom, new on top:

The pen styles are quite different. Old on bottom, new on top:

Number 95 refers to the 95th anniversary of Pilot on the current 2013.

More info, here (http://estilofilos.blogspot.jp/2013/03/justus-again.html).

Cheers,

Indeed the styling is a bit different but i can see more of the similarity between the two, especially in the nib section.
The style on the old one doesn't do much for me.. But, i'll certainly wait for the new one. It looks great and i really want to try that nib, thanks.

I think it would have to be already released...no?

It is already available at ONE shop in Tokyo, at least. I guess the general distribution of the pen in Japan will start in a week (March 18th on). But that is just a guess.

The official price is set: JPY 30000, plus tax.

Cheers,

I like the look. Plus it's a interesting concept. Maybe a little on the pricey side for me.

Nagasawa in Kobe already posted a picture on one of their blogs, so they should sell them already, too.

The Pilot Justus 95 (http://estilofilos.blogspot.jp/2013/03/justus-again.html) is already included in the Pilot catalog: http://www.pilot.co.jp/products/pen/fountain/justus95/index.html

It also says that there are two finishes to it--the already described barleycorn type (http://estilofilos.blogspot.jp/2013/03/justus-again.html) and another with thin lines along the pen body. The catalog does not mention the nib size (10).

Cheers,

Looks very interesting. A lot of the old versions have started showing up on ebay (smart sellers). Leigh Reyes also did a great review of (I think) the older version.

Read that it is not as flexy as a Falcon.

Does anyone know yet just how flexy this pen can be?

It is listed on eBay for about $300 US.

I own a FA in the 743 size. I used to own a 742FA as well as a 912FA. The FA comes in only one unflexed nib width which I estimate to be a Pilot F.

I also have atleast one example of all the nib types that Pilot has to offer in their custom line. Their SM nib on the 742/912 was the most responsive of all S aka soft nibs, even softer than a Namiki Falcon SB nib, all IMO of course.

The modern Justus, interestingly, is offered in three nib grades, F,FM and M. The nib also looks like the 742 or the 10 size. so my guess is that the M will be atleast as responsive as the 742 SM nib. I will know for sure, hopefully by tomorrow evening, since my new Justus 95 with M nib is in the post and has already cleared customs and will be delivered to me tomorrow hopefully. I will post my impressions.

Troglokev posted a nice review on FPN just before the board went offline, troglokev, are you here on Fpgeeks?

The 95 pen looks very similar indesign to the Heritage 912, the shape that is.

I'm quite happy with my Vintage Justus, i should review it soon :) great pen!
