I have been totally obsessed with the green in the pilot-namiki cartridges over the past year and searching for a bottle of it (or equivalent) for just about as long. Does anyone know of a match that is available to someone in Canada? Spring is on it's way and it's a great ink for the season.

I just looked up Pilot Namiki green cartridges on Goulet pens web-site, and IMHO that colour looks nothing like this Kokeiro Green. It looks more like Pilot Iroshizuku Shin ryoku or Montblanc irish Green

The Goulet swab reminds me of Pelikan Edelstein Jade, for whatever that's worth.

Which Pilot-Namiki cartridges/ink are you referring to, as there are at least 4 Pilot greens (excluding Iroshizuku inks) that I know of? The Goulet swab doesn't look like my cartridges at all.

Pilot Mixable Green - a mid green
Pilot Namiki standard cartridges - a darker, richer green
V-pen (Varsity) refillables - a bright green
Petit-1 - a light, spring/apple green

A pic of your ink would be helpful......:)

This one has grown on me, but it is NOT what they show. It's FAR more olive/gold than green.

That looks like they've maybe sent the wrong ink. That looks exactly like my Yamabuki-iro. (no. 4)

It's in the right bottle. Could they have bottled the wrong ink? Sounds like a big mistake.

I was repacking this bottle for return to Amazon when I noticed that the box actually correctly depicts the actual color. It's the photo of the writing sample that's seriously wrong, but perhaps if you used it on something like onion paper, it might appear more green. Thoughts/opinions?
This is a photo I took of the actual packaging.

UPDATE: I sent an email to the retailer along with photos and writing sample showing the ink. Got this response...

This is Nakai from TAG stationoery on Amazon.
We are very sorry, it seems contents inside bottle are different from what package suggests.
therefore, we want to resend the item. our products are currently in FBA warehouse. we can't send the item from our place.
in order to resend the item, could you contact Amazon directly?

If you have any other question or uncertain point, please feel free to contact us.

Best Regards,
Nakai

I thought they'd sent you the wrong ink. Whilst the ink is more gold-green than the online scribble suggests it definitely isn't as murky brown as the ink you received. I hope it all gets sorted out soon.

I hope no-one minds if I just mention that when quoting someone in a thread, it's very easy to just delete the pictures in the quoted post unless you absolutely have to repeat them again. :)

It makes this thread so difficult to read because the same large pictures have been posted in it loads of times. :(
