The pen is blue, but you won’t be if you snag this sleek blue beauty from Montblanc’s Writers Edition Series. Here is what Montblanc wrote about this pen on their website:
The barrel, made of bright blue lacquer with platinum-plated mountings, is surrounded by a guilloche consisting of evensized waves. Jules Verne’s signature decorates the cap of the writing instrument, and a delicate engraving of an antique diver’s helmet on the rhodium-plated 18- karat gold nib of the fountain pen recalls one of his most famous novels, “Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea”.
This model was a Limited Edition originally released in 2003 and now increasingly difficult to find. Bryant Greer of Pentime.com is a well known dealer who has handled A LOT of pens in his time. Read what he said about it in his review here:

My piece is number 15461/18500 and has a Medium nib that writes beautifully smooth. I do not have the original box. The pen has been lightly used and bears the usual light hairline scratches on the highly polished end caps, but I think the price reflects that, as it is lower than I have seen in the small number of other places I have been able to find this model.
PRICE REDUCED to $850 plus $20 shipping within US.
