Just trying to find the best prices on some new Pelikans. Where do people usually shop for there Pelikans pens? And some examples of cost. I have recently been eyeing the Stressman M805 from the Pen Box, a site in the UK. Their price is 319 (in pounds), which is about $392. Are there any other places with better deals? Any help appreciated.

You can always check the sellers on Ebay. Some deals from time to time.

Plus you know what your maximum is that you want to spend and you can bid on auction items. If you're patient good deals can be had...

pelikanpens and cultpens seem to have the best pelikan prices in Europe from what I can tell.

Also worth trying Fritz-Schimpf in Germany. They sometimes have exceptional deals on certain models.

Rolf Thiel, www.missing-pen.com is also always an option.
I made only very good experiences with him, reputable dealer and personally a nice guy

He has a very good reputation but his prices seem very high at the moment.

The M800 one of my benchmark pen for comparing dealer prices. I haven't looked in a while but have had good luck with missing-pen, appelboom (US doesn't pay VAT, plus 10% discount code), or some European amazon sites (I got an M805 for about $300 from amazon.co.uk; no box).

Amazon UK has a green striped M800 B for $270 US shipped. I'm even tempted by that one.

I am specifically looking for an M400 White Tortoise and it's still the cheapest at cultpens @ 190 GBP + 7.5 GBP shipping = ~230 €. Anyone knows a cheaper vendor?

For American and possibly non-euro buyers cultpens offers by far the best prices right now...less than $200 for an M400 (when places like nibs.com are charging well over $300).

IN the USA, I would try Joel Hamilton, in Alamogordo, New Mexico, of www.Ink-Pen.com for some of the best prices on Pelikans............Tell him Mike Smukula sent you.

I'm looking at a M805, do you know if they will test the nib for you before shipping?

Edit: I emailed them and they have no problem testing the pens before they're sent out. My new M805 will be shipped tomorrow!

One good way is to go and find in Ebay. I have decided to get a M200 and I found one for a good price on Ebay. At the same time I wanted to get an extra Nib set and that too I found there. Both cost me just £108 and the seller is based on Germany. I like fine nibs and the Pelikan nib sizes are more border than the standard nib widths. So I ordered a fine nib but I am not sure it'll be the fine size I am looking for. So I have aded an extra fine nib set, in if case if I find the writing more border than my preference.

I have recently found that, while the price I paid for an M300 nib to a German seller, Seitz Global, was good, Cult Pens in the UK was still lower on the next M300 nib I bought. This includes shipping considerations.

Cultpens has a 10% off sale for Black Friday from today until Sunday. I just bought a red M600 for $227.00 including free shipping and a free Pelikan pouch. How nice is that? :thumb:
