Ships from China. I think it's a fake and there are several finishes listed at under $10 with free shipping.

Yup, search eBay for the Baoer 388, likely same manufacturers.

There are a lot of Sonnets and IMs on AliExpress. At less than $10, I'm going to assume they're fakes.

I guess so, but I wonder what they are like.

Me too! I thought about getting one to see how it writes.

Are they fake or factory seconds?

RocketRyan

I'm sure I read that who ever bought the factory was just using the old equipment... (Read it on here somewhere)

One of my young engineers bought one, it is a weird pen
It uses international cartridges and that was my first alarm bell.
It skips and has a very small sweet spot.
I helped him fine tune the nib, but did not help very much, I wonder if I could replace it with a Jinhao nib

Interesting, standard international would actually make them pretty useful for when I'm out on site and need a cheap kicker in my pocket. I must say at first look the blue one looks good.

Well I inked the blue one today... Actually a very good writer, heavier than a real sonnet. the blue one is actually quite well constructed, the black one not so much, slightly bent clip and the finial and button on top are a bit crooked.

Some things to note, the nib is marked as 18k lol, it's nail hard, but actually pretty smooth. The blue one is the only one I have inked so far but seems like a decent pen for £5, if you can look past the fact it's a blatant copy. By the looks of it you could actually fit a genuine Parker nib if you so desired , so I suppose you could keep your original sonnet for "best" yet still use the nib when out and about. Or just use it for what it is, a usable pen for a third of the price or a Lamy safari. If you loose it, oh well.
I will update when I try the black version.

I ordered one of these Ebay Chinese Parkers and received it yesterday. Here are some photographs of it so you can see the packaging and pen. Will have to be two posts though so I apologize. 29950299582995729956299552995429953299522995129959

Sorry. Last 4. Just wanted everyone to see the details of the packaging and pen. Very solid pen but it feels like the typical Jinhao. It does look like a Parker though and not sure many people would notice. Paid a little over $8 for it with free shipping. Box inserts are padded and lined but feel a little low quality. The Newell Rubbermaid thing though. Is that normal for Parker packaging? It does ink quickly and it actually writes pretty well with just a hint of scratchiness. But I have written with much worse pens than this and I paid much more than $8. What do ya'll think?

Doesn't look bad for 8 bucks. I mean a knock off Parker will never be a grail pen but I put mine out for the signing in book at work, and it did the job.

Well to be honest I checked my invoice and it was 8.99. It was not listed as a Parker. I was surprised that it even came in "Parker" packaging. But it does write pretty well and just as good if not better than some of the best Chinese made fountain pens I have. We will see how long it lasts.

Replica/fake pens, I guess if there are so many fake products pens would be no exception
