Dear friends,

On Saturday, March 18th, 2017, fountain-pen lovers have an annual appointment at XII Barcelona Pen Show. This meeting, organized by “Amics de l’estilografica” fountain-pen aficionado group, gathers fifteen Spanish and foreign sellers (coming from Germany, Italy, Japan and United Kingdom) with fans who have the opportunity to acquire both ancient and modern first brands fountain-pens.

The pen show is addressed to collectors aiming to incorporate special items and rarities to their collection, but also to users wanting to hold in their hands and try fountain pens before deciding a purchase. Barcelona pen show will count also with the participation of some experts capable to repair fountain-pens that could have been in disuse for years.

This year, Cross/Sheaffer, Pelikan/Porsche Design and www.plumas-estilograficas.es sponsor the Pen Show. The venue of the XII Barcelona Pen Show will be at the HCC Hotel Montblanc (Via Laietana Street, 61), from 10am till 8pm. Free entrance.

Thank you for your post josepllc. I am flying to Barcelona for some sight seeing and of course my travels just happened (ahem) to coincide with the pen show. I am looking forward to it. I am hoping that my almost non existant Spanish will hinder neither I nor the vendors in doing some great deals :)

Dear da Vinci, there would be absolutely no problem with the language, there would be sellers that speak English. If you look at the penshow blog (see the address on my previous message), you will get a flavor of what to find there. This year we expect to have more vendors, between 25 and 30. Free entrance, so you do not loose anything if you step by!

Good morning!

For those planning to attend the meeting, We are planning to have lunch together the day of the Fira de l'Estilogrŕfica at a nearby restaurant. The idea is to meet at Hotel Montblanc hall around 14h and walk to the restaurant (well, it's a Mediterranean eat as you can restaurant, called FrescCo, at Casp street. I think that this a nice opportunity to enjoy another dimension of the meeting. Who is joining us?
