Hi folks,

I am selling a vintage Lamy 2000 pen and pencil set, a Pelikan 100N and an Omas 557S to help pay for the purchase of a grail pen. Please feel free to ask questions, though I'm afraid I can't accept trades at this time (see above :-).

Thank you for looking. Get in touch!

1. Lamy 2000

This is an early (1970?) Lamy 2000 fountain pen and pencil set. It comes in the original box, sadly missing the brochure. These boxes alone are terrific, very vintage, and great for displaying the set.

The pencil is 0.5 mm and works perfectly.

The pen is one of the best 2000s I've ever used, with a professionally set up nib that writes wet and smooth, as you would hope for from a 2000. Being an earlier generation the nib isn't blobby and has a tad of softness. It's a fine 18K.

Most older 2000s have gone from grey and rough to smooth and black due to use. While the texture is not perfect (having been slightly marked by storage), this set looks a lot like a new set.

Overall, a great useable, historical pen and pencil set. I'm asking $180 including reasonable shipping.

2. Omas 557S

This is an interesting one. It's a 557S from the 1990s complete with box and a brochure. I bought this from Rome without seeing it, and paid a bit more than I am selling it for. Why?

The strength of this pen is its incredibly beautiful fine wet nib. It's just amazing to write with, a real pleasure. The stroke width varies easily, but it's a little italicy even with out pressure. The piston works perfectly (I stripped and lubed it) and the pen is rock solid.

However, and this is what I was NOT told, the cosmetic condition is not perfect. The plastic is absolutely unmarked, but I think it might be celluloid. This is because the plastic appears to have shrunk, making two items of the furniture loose. The wide cap ring and the trim by the piston knob both turn freely. I did not try to do anything about this because it doesn't bother me at all and doesn't affect the function. The wide cap ring is not completely smooth, possibly because somebody tried to tighten it. I've tried to show this in the photos, but it doesn't show up well. It's important that you know before you buy because it may bug you!

For me, the writing pleasure offered by this pen in the big thing. It's simply one of the most joyful pens I've ever handled.

Paypal and questions welcome. $170 including reasonable shipping.

3. Pelikan 100N

I am happy to offer a fabulous Pelikan 100N. This is a later model (with the "400" style nib markings and white seal) in beautiful condition. The pen has a smooth EF/F nib that is not as wet as many 100Ns can be. This is a really fun and striking little pen, one of the best I have ever seen.

I am asking $150 including reasonable shipping.
