Hi all,

This is my first post here. I do not know if I got the images imbedded with the correct code or not, so you may have to click the links to see the photos.

If you see a pen here that you would like to purchase, please let me know that you saw it on FPGeeks!

I have had some good luck lately finding pens and quite a few are in
very nice condition. You will be seeing some on this sales list and
more to come in the near future. Some of the pens came from the wild
and some I purchased from friends. Give me a shout if you see one or
more that you would like to have!

If you intend to make a purchase, please read "Rules, shipping,
etcetera" at the bottom of this post.

Pen #1. circa 1929 Wahl pen and pencil set, in black and white pearl,
with original box. This set is not mint, but it has not seen much
action. Some of the different pen companies put on a light coat of a
pearly, silvery colored material on some of the pens and pencils they
manufactured. I think it was some kind of protective coating that was
used during, or possibly after, the manufacturing process. It is very
thin and comes off very easily. This pen and pencil still have this
coating. Most times when you get an old pen or pencil that had this
coating, it is long gone. The pen had been filled, but not used much,
so I removed the ink sac and did not replace it, to preserve the
color. I cleaned up the nib, feed and section and called it good. I
polished the nib, but trim has acquired light oxidation patina, which
I elected not to remove. The only damage I found on the pen or the
pencil is a scratch on the under side of the section and a nick on one
tine of the nib. The painted pasteboard box has some rub marks on the
paint. The top and bottom parts of the box, I believe, were originally
attached to one another, but have been separated. It looks to me like
they were pinned through on the ends and at one time the bottom would
have rotated around and faced up, for display or use. There are three
elastic loops in the box bottom. I think this set may have come with a
small pocket knife that had a bale on one end. The knife is not with
the set, or whatever item it may have been. The color of the pen and
pencil are best represented in the photo of them placed in the box
bottom.

2. 1949 Parker 51 Aerometric demi set in forest green with Lustraloy
caps, in the original clam shell box. The set has had very little use.
The ink sac is clear and appeared to have been inked once with green
ink and put away. I flushed the pen and did not do a writing sample
with it. The box is sort of a large deluxe model, covered in medium
brown leatherette and imprinted with a double silver border design on
the top. The inside is dark blue satin. The set has no major scratches
or other damage. The nib appears to be about a Fine or Medium. The
pencil is cap actuated and functioning properly. I would grade it as a
collector quality set, Near Mint.

Price $225.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

3. 1937 Parker Vacumatic Junior in black. This is not your average
1930's Vac! It has a reticulated barrel, which some might call a web
pattern. These reticulated Vacumatics are fairly scarce animals. I
think I have only seen one other in person, in all the years I have
been collecting. There is some brassing on the lower cap band, a
little on the tip of the clip and some very thin lines of brassing on
the high edges of the tassi ring, on the blind cap. The white plating
on the nib has some wear, also. The barrel clarity is excellent. If
you look at the close-up of the barrel, you can see one of the stamps
through the barrel, on the printed background paper. I wish I knew
what brand and color of ink that was used in this pen. I suspect it
was Parker Quink. The lock down plunger is in nice condition. The
diaphragm has been replaced, but I was very hesitant to ink this pen,
because of the near perfect barrel clarity, so I did not do a writing
sample with it. The nib appears to be a Fine.

see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

4. 1946 Parker Vacumatic Junior in silver pearl. There is no damage to
report. The silver colored trim is exceptional and is probably the
nicest example of a silver pearl 1940's Vacumatic that I have ever
had. The barrel imprint is fairly crisp and deep and the barrel
clarity is much better than average, with only very light ambering,
see photos. I decided that I would go ahead and do a writing sample
with the pen, but if it were mine I would probably not use it, but
whether you buy it and use it is entirely up to you. The nib is a
smooth writing Fine 14K arrow. The condition is Excellent.

Price $195.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

5. Parker 51 Special full size in burgundy with Lustraloy cap, in the
original box with instruction sheet. The cap still has the original
foil tag on the clip. The only flaw I noticed is a bit of clip rub, to
the left of the clip tip, on the matte finish. There is no date code
and I don't know exactly when the pen was made. The nib is 14K and
looks to be an Extra Fine. I flushed the pen and have not done a
writing sample with it. The pen shows very little, if any, use, other
than having been inked at least once. The ink sac is still clear. The
box has a little rubbing to the corners on top, but is very
presentable. The condition of the pen is Near Mint.

Price $175.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

6. ~SOLD~ to A.F.
1948 (first year) Parker 51 Aerometric full size pen in cocoa with
Lustraloy cap. The cap has some typical micro scratches from normal
use, but no dings, dents, and it still has fairly frosty finish. The
ink sac cover is one of the full length tubes and is in decent
condition (not corroded). The nib is a wet writing 14K Extra Fine.
This one would make a good daily user pen.

~SOLD~ to A.F. $155.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

Rules, Shipping, Etc.

The usual rules apply, the person sending the first e-mail on an item
~stating intent to purchase~ gets the item. I will give you 5 days to
decide if you like the pen or not. I prefer payment by PayPal but also
accept checks or money orders in USD. I can only accept payment by
PayPal from countries outside the U.S. I ship worldwide, so
international customers are always welcome.

Prices are post paid in the U.S., and will be shipped with a tracking
number and insurance. I normally ship inside the U.S. by U.S.
Postal Service Priority Mail. I can also ship to other countries by
Priority Mail, but I prefer to ship by Express International Mail. I
have to charge $20.00 to $30.00 USD extra by Express International
Mail, depending on which country the item will be sent to, but it can
be insured and can usually be tracked online.

Return Policy: I will always allow pens, or other items, to be
returned as long as it is not for a frivolous reason and the item is
returned in the same condition as when it was shipped from here. If
there should be a problem I would prefer the chance to fix the problem
or replace the item, when and if possible. Otherwise a full refund
will be offered. If you find a problem and choose to send the item
(pen, mechanical pencil, etc.) to someone else to be corrected, I will
not be responsible for any other problems.

All pens have been restored inside and outside, nibs adjusted and
smoothed, when necessary, clips tightened, etc. I give a lot of
attention to minute details on a pen, that some would not notice. All
pens and pencils will be in good working condition unless noted
otherwise. The pens have been ink tested. I restore the pens I sell,
as if they were going into my personal pen collection.

Happy penning!

Michael McNeil
