Joined this group today because I am experiencing a renewed interest in fountain pens. I attended middle school in Munich, and of course, like most students there, I used fountain pens during that time. Upon my return to the US I never really gave it too much thought but recently became interested in using them again. The way the ink looks and the feel of the pen is just really appealing and I found myself missing it. Anyway, I used mostly Pelikans in Germany, the cheaper ones with cartridges, but enjoyed them nonetheless. I purchased a cheap Pelikan online today as well as a Safari. Plan on buying a "nice" one once I learn a bit more and can make a more informed decision! Not sure if I would feel disloyal if I bought anything other than German, lol, but it seems there are some nice options out there. Glad to be a part of the forum.
