I just bought a beautiful Pelikan 800 for my daughter. It's a great pen and the nib is amazingly smooth. Not only is it an old style nib with the PF import markings that means it has a small amount of flex, but it was also ground to a stub by Dan Smith. My daughter would prefer a fine or extra fine. Please contact me if you have one you want to trade.

Email me if you are interested. curtsherry@gmail.com

What is the color of your nib? Gold, two-tone or rhodinated?

I'd be potentially interested in swapping a two-tone EF. How wide would would you say the downstroke is, and how wet would you characterise it? Did the nib skip on the downstroke in "M" and the y in "style"?

It didn't really skip. I write way too fast and don't always use even pressure. I have no idea of the width but in my opinion it's not overly large. The wetness is about a 7 with de atrementis document ink.
