Helpful tip: I once had a job that occasionally required me to send something internationally. This site was a tremendous help in determining what an address should look like in other countries.
UPU Postal addressing standards (http://www.upu.int/en/activities/addressing/postal-addressing-systems-in-member-countries.html)

Inspiration: The lost art of letter-writing (http://www.guardian.co.uk/culture/charlottehigginsblog/2012/oct/23/lost-art-letter-writing).

Have you found any useful resources on the web, or elsewhere? It seems like every search I make for letter-writing tips turns up mostly class projects for elementary school students.

I highly recommend Letter Writers Alliance (http://16sparrows.typepad.com/letterwritersalliance/), MissiveMaven (http://www.missivemaven.com/), and for those who want to go real old school, The Letter Exchange (http://www.letter-exchange.com/).
