Up for sale or trade is the lone vintage Montblanc in my collection. I believe it to be a III series hard rubber button filler from the era of the Great Depression (1933-35.) It has an outline snowpeak on the cap. The Montblanc imprint on the cap is easy to read, and the "Simplo Original Montblanc Pa-tent" around a snowpeak imprint is FAINTLY visible on the barrel. The nib is marked "warranted" with a triangle containing a b underneath, and 14KAR below that. There does not appear to be much, if any, tipping material on the nib and I have not dipped or written with it, personally.
There are a couple of chips in the cap, but cap secures as it should. Pen has had a new sac installed since I acquired it, but has not been inked.
The little bit of history I could find on this model indicate that it was a "budget friendly" Montblanc sold when times were tough, and that Montblanc sold it with the offer that it could be traded back in for its full selling price to put towards another pen in the future.

I am unsure as to the value of this pen. I've seen a few listed in the neighborhood of $500+ that were in other color variations or in better condition. Supposedly, this is quite rare, but I'm not an authority on the matter. If interested, send me a PM with what you consider a fair offer and we can take it from there. Ideally, funds from this sale will go towards a more modern 146, so would be interested in trades towards the LeGrand, as well.
