Hi all,

I thought I would offer some pens and a pencil of German manufacture
this week. Also a scarce Sheaffer's Balance Autograph combo. The pens
have all be restored and are ready to fill with ink and write.

Since we are required to only post 15 images I had to cut 7 of the original
photos from this list, but you can always view my pen sales posts on FPN,
the Pentrace Market Place board or Fountain Pen Classifieds, with all photos
intact. Hello! That's like anywhere but here! Hint, hint. :-)

If you see one or more that you like, please E-mail me at:

michael@northwestpenworks.com

If you intend to make a purchase, please read "Rules, shipping,
etcetera" at the bottom of this post.

Pen #1. Pelikan 101N or 100N in red-brown and tortoise. I do not know
for sure which of the two models this one is, they look alike to me.
The rolled gold trim on the pen is very nice. The only damage I
noticed are some small scratches here and there on the tortoise pearl
binde. There is a bit of wear on the top front edge of the cap end.
The nib is a smooth writing Fine 14K, with a bit of flex when moderate
pressure is applied. The pen has had the plunger seal replaced and it
is operating as it should. It is one of the more desirable and sought
after vintage Pelikan fountain pens.

Price $850.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

2. Pelikan 100N black and tortoise. The clip has some brassing on the
tip and one edge where it curves towards the cap ring. The cap rings
also have some brassing, mostly on the upper ring. The binde is an odd
color and may have some discoloration or it has a bit different
coloration, but it is still very attractive. The nib is a very scarce
CN (chrome nickel) Scheibenspitze Broad or SB. Scheibenspitze means
disk top. It is angled and flat on the end. I didn't get a good shot
that shows the flat writing surface of the tip. It writes very
smoothly and lays down a lot of ink. I believe the CN nibs were only
made during World War II. The plunger seal in the pen was recently
replaced by Ink-Pen West.

Price $550.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc."

3. ~SOLD~ to M.C.
1952 - '54 Montblanc model 444 liquid ball pen. These ball pens use
ink from a bottle and fill like a normal Montblanc twist piston fill
fountain pen. The clip has some brassing along the edges of the clip
and some tiny specks of gold missing from the rolled gold cap lip. The
barrel is transparent. The cap appears to be brushed stainless steel.
The cap has some light scratches from normal use. The plunger seal was
recently replaced by Ink-Pen West. The pen writes very smoothly and
lays down about a fat Fine or narrow Medium line.

~SOLD~ to M.C. $375.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

4. ~SOLD~ to K.
mid-1930's Sheaffer's white dot Autograph combination pen/pencil,
marine green and black with solid 14K trim. The clip, cap band and
pencil cone are stamped 14K. The cap band is engraved To Jim Jr. from
Rudy, in a cursive hand writing style. The pen has a nice deep barrel
imprint. The pencil is working as it should. The pen has a nice very
smooth writing Fine two tone 14K up swept nib. The color of the
plastic is excellent. This is very scarce version of a Sheaffer's
Balance and combo, and I believe, only available by special order.

~SOLD~ to K. $525.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

5. 1942 - '44 Pelikan 100 in green and black. This is a very nice
example of one of these wartime 100's. These did not have cap bands,
instead where the cap bands would have been they are imprinted with
two knurled rings. The cap is imprinted with the name Vasylyna Otroba
and highlighted in green. The imprints and cap end logo are nice and
deep. The clip appears to be chrome plated and was originally coated
with yellow lacquer, a bit of the lacquer remains. The CN (chromium
nickel) alloy nib is a Fine and you can achieve some line variation
when moderate pressure is applied. It is a smooth writing nib. The
green pearl binde is a slightly darker blue-green color than some
Pelikan 100's and 100N's I have seen. The plunger seal was recently
replaced.

Price $385.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

6. ~SOLD~ to D.N.
Pelikan AUCH pencil. I had to look up the meaning of AUCH, in the
Pelikan book, and found it means also, i.e. Pelikan pen also pencil.
The only flaw I could find on the pencil is that the long binde
appears to be evenly faded in the center, but the thin bind and ends
of the large binde are still green. The pencil appears to have had
very little use. AUCH pencils have a button on the top to propel the
lead and this one is working as it should. These pencils were made for
quite a few years, but seem fairly hard to find.

~SOLD~ to D.N. $115.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

Rules, Shipping, Etc.

The usual rules apply, the person sending the first e-mail on an item
~stating intent to purchase~ gets the item. I will give you 5 days to
decide if you like the pen or not. I prefer payment by PayPal but also
accept checks or money orders in USD. I can only accept payment by
PayPal from countries outside the U.S. I ship worldwide, so
international customers are always welcome.

Prices are post paid in the U.S., and will be shipped with a tracking
number and insurance. I normally ship inside the U.S. by U.S.
Postal Service Priority Mail. I can also ship to other countries by
Priority Mail, but I prefer to ship by Express International Mail. I
have to charge $20.00 to $30.00 USD extra by Express International
Mail, depending on which country the item will be sent to, but it can
be insured and can usually be tracked online.

Return Policy: I will always allow pens, or other items, to be
returned as long as it is not for a frivolous reason and the item is
returned in the same condition as when it was shipped from here. If
there should be a problem I would prefer the chance to fix the problem
or replace the item, when and if possible. Otherwise a full refund
will be offered. If you find a problem and choose to send the item
(pen, mechanical pencil, etc.) to someone else to be corrected, I will
not be responsible for any other problems.

All pens have been restored inside and outside, nibs adjusted and
smoothed, when necessary, clips tightened, etc. I give a lot of
attention to minute details on a pen, that some would not notice. All
pens and pencils will be in good working condition unless noted
otherwise. The pens have been ink tested. I restore the pens I sell,
as if they were going into my personal pen collection.

Happy penning!

Michael McNeil
