Not sure if this is UK only but here is an extract from latest Feb/March newsletter from Pure Pens, the online pen specialist seller:
Lamy to be discontinued
We were extremely disappointed to be informed by Lamy that in their new terms and conditions for 2017, sales of their pens would be restricted only to retailers with a presence on the high street. Unfortunately, as an online retailer with a limited amount of calling in person customers, this means that once our current stock of LAMY products have been exhausted, we will no longer be able to order any further items from their range.
Seems bizarre to me, given where market growth is currently. Speculation on my part but perhaps pressure has been brought to bear on LAMY by high street stores, who can't compete with online prices? Not sure what this will mean for the online sellers like Amazon, or smaller sellers like CultPens.........
