The cap is from a 121 but the body is from an entry level student type pen. The body should be threaded while the cap should be a slip on. An interesting accumulation of pieces parts.

I can confirm cap band says Montblanc and 121
I didn't see it until I turned the cap over under lighted loupe it's marked under were the cap curls towards the pen body
Body is threaded behind the grip step up
Does the nib fit the body ???
I.e. Since this is used is it possible the original user lost the original cap or had both this and a 121 did a cap swap

There's no telling what happened but it's highly unlikely a 121 cap will seal an 0342 body. the inner caps and sealing mechanisms are entirely different. The nib is the right type for that body but looks to be the wrong size so some other surgery may have happened. Here's a 342 I used to own as a comparison.
