2 faceted Conklin Nozacs piston fillers from the 1930s: these are the largest, 14-sided, Oversized/Senior models, corresponding to the 7,000W. Each measures 5 3/8" capped, and both are fine writers restored in the last month and are guaranteed to fill to the hilt. Large, proper, semi-flex Cushion Point nibs lay down smooth and consistent FINE lines with about a line width or two of variation. No hairline cracks, monograms, or threading issues on either. And both pens have fully legible imprints (the simple variant w/ Conklin trademark, Toledo, OH, and patent).

1. Red and Pearl Penline: Beautiful condition – color is truly stunning in person. No brassing (that spot on the side of the clip in the 4th photo is a reflection), even color, and excellent if somewhat ambered transparency (sort of hard to capture between the thin bands of celluloid on camera). Nozac nibs are some of the smoothest of the era IMO, and this one is no exception, being on the EF side of a F with nice springy feedback. A collector-grade pen and a delightful writer.

Price: $375 After writing with and ogling this pen for a spell, I'll think I'll be holding onto it for now (against my better financial judgment!). But if you've been seeking this particular model/color and don't wish to pay double the price, which it commands online, feel free to send a persuasive offer my way.

2. Blue V-line: The V-line was Conklin's top-of-the-line Nozac along with the solid-color Chevron pens. This one has seen more use than the other pen I'm offering, but is free of major issues. A few fleabite-sized marks and scratches here and there to the plastic and clip with a small spot of brassing to the very bottom of it. By far the worst of the wear is captured in the 4th photo, where it extends to a dent in the cap band. The trim, however, is in good shape on the whole – about 95% free of brassing (with none to the band). The piston filling mechanism is fully functional and a joy to use, but with slightly more resistance than I reckon it had from the factory. I experimented with different sized o-rings from David Nishimura's kit. This pen seemed to fall between sizes, so I decided to go with the larger rather than the smaller to ensure a full barrel of ink. Even color and great transparency (more of an orange shade in the clear portions). Buttery smooth nib with a bit more flexibility (F to M/B).

Price: $600+ from online dealers or get it here for $375 $340 SOLD (includes shipping via Priority mail w/ tracking to CONUS locations, please contact me for shipping quote if you are located abroad)

Order, Payment, & Guarantee: Pens are placed on hold for the first person to PM me with firm request to purchase.
