Apart from Pelikan Edelstein Smoky Quartz and Lamy Petrol, I can't think of any. I'm very interested in those Platinum's though; I rather like their arid Blue-Black IG.

Too bad they don't offer those in cartridges.

Apparently Platinum's blue-black is an iron-gall (or pigmented?) formula; little known fact, but not quite a secret.

Thanks, I didn't know it was IG. I like the color and finally figured out it wasn't pigment as the box states. Maybe they confused pigment with IG.

I'd never even noticed it was described as pigmented. How strange. I know it's not a widely lauded iron gall, but didn't realise it was quite that much under the radar!

This might be a silly question, but doesn't the advertisement say that they turn to black over time? Or am I misreading it? (I'm trying to figure out why use colored ink if it turns black over time.)

I'm reckoning each ink fades to black with the respective colour as an undertone; maybe i'm wrong?
