The nibs are screw in units and easily changed. The pen appears to be black and not green. The clip tags are easy to change; what is printed on the outer box? And as above, is the binde opaque or transparent? Is the seller an authorized Pelikan dealer?

the pen has black barrrel and green transparent ink window the outer box have the number i found in ever pelikan box i buy no model number on the outer box, the pen was bought by me in 2009 with m800 when i start writing with fountain pen and never been used at that time i did not even know any thing about pens i was thinking selling it to get an m900 as my daily pen is m800 but now when i have more information about fountain pen i found that the pen is m420 not m425 according to pelikan catalouge of 2006 and 2007 when the pen was produced and the listing says that the two pen is only available in f m b and ob but not ef even which is the same for the two model my question now if the nib is swabbed which pen model in 400 series have 18c nib bitone in ef and the outer tag says m425 EF which mean that m425 was available in EF ?????? does nib was special order??? i atttached two new pic but sorry the camera can not focus on the nib whatever i try

Different markets used different proofs for nibs. That might account for the 18K nib. But there was also a M-600 that was the same size as the M-200 and M-400 and it came with an 18K nib so there were 18K screw in nibs of the right size available.

an update after contacting the pen shop it happened that they have a last pelikan piece with no model tag which happened to be the m425 with ef nib also so what happened is that the model tag have been swapped and the original tag of the m420 is missed so i bought the other pen

Great acquisition! That's a model I like to have but is a bit small for my hand.

What did you ink it up with, and how does it write?
