Hi all,

This is a Sailor Pro Gear, black with gold trims. It has a Sailor specialty nib, the Cross Point. You can see from the photos that the cross point nib has a large writing surface. Turn it upside down for a super-fine writing surface. I found the upside down (Hail, all Stranger Things fans) to be too thin for my liking, and the tines seem to be slightly out of alignment making the nib super sharp on the upside down. A slight nib alignment adjustment and some micro mesh would alleviate the problem, but I'm too chicken to try anything like that. Besides, the real purpose of the Cross Point is the big, fat lines you can make.

I purchased this pen from Engeika about a year ago. It's been used maybe three times. I like the Concord Cross nib better. I still have the box and the pen comes with its converter. The pen is in great shape but what you're really getting is an amazing nib.

Finding Sailor specialty nibs these days is not easy, so here's where you can get one in almost brand new condition. I want to use the funds to buy a Sailor Fresca.

Asking $300 insured shipping included CONUS.

Susan, I don't mean to be picky. Apologies in advance, but the writing sample would be more useful with some sort of "reference", such as grid lines, an known object (like a penny), to be better able to assess the line width. There is no visible difference between the broad side and the thin side of the nib since they are taken without frame of reference. Sorry again for the criticism.

You are totally correct. I will provide writing samples with better reference points this afternoon.

Susan,

I recognize the pen from your review on the Pen Addict, and had actually emailed you about it once upon a time...

I will play with this, if you have not had any other offers. I no longer write much hebrew, but it will be used to write sermons.

Send a request for funds to ndrwcn@hotmail.com, via paypal

Is that an acceptable way to handle this, and to pay?

Peace,
Rev. Andrew Coon

PS - I also have a cross concord, so your pen will feel at home.
