For Sale: Montblanc Striped Grey-Green Celluloid 142 with Original Box

Clearing out a few more of my better pens to make room for other priorities, going to be very sad to see this one go.

I have up for sale a hard to find Montblanc Striped Celluloid 142 Green with Original Box. The pen is in very good condition, no cracks, no brassing of the trims and a wonderful extra fine flexible gold nib. The only flaw on this pen is very slight discoloration of the barrel only, but this is not too strong and the photos illustrate this.

The pen is dated 1955, blind cap has EF marking and 142. The telescopic piston filler has been restored and works 100%. Nib is marked 14C gold, two-tone, extra fine and nice flexibility pictured. I have never filled with ink so cannot attest to line width or provide writing sample. Box is in great condition for its age.

Price is $ USD Shipped Worldwide. Price includes tracked shipping from Australia. If you would like insurance on top of this, that is your call but for reference it would roughly be another $30 USD to cover the pen. Payment is via PayPal and I will wear the fees.

The 142 is shorter than the modern 144.

About the same as a 144 if not larger. Not an expert in this comparison so don't have exact measurements sorry.

These were manufactured in either solid black, striated green or striated grey (sometimes called silver) celluloid. Apologies if I am stating the obvious, but this pen appears to be a green example, not grey. They are among my favorite pens.
