I have been offered an interview but may not be able to get there in time, so it was suggested a phone interview. Anyone here have tips in how to manage a phone interview that can change your life?
I don't do well in face to face interviews as it is!!!!

Smile when you are talking. It shows through the phone.

Best advice already given. Add to that, listen more carefully and pause briefly before answering to avoid any delay in the transmission in voices. Be super patient and don't talk over anyone, no interrupting. Use a landline if you can, not a cell phone. Good luck!!! :-)

DH interviews prospective employees.

Rather than emphasize what you want, emphasize what you can add to the company.

Every one of the suggestions above is excellent! I'd add: Seal yourself into a sound proof chamber and make sure the door is locked.

Kids, Kats, and Kangaroos howling in the background could be a distraction. Good luck!

Thanks guys..I have not even thought of pausing to allow for any delay. Hmm it's going to freak me out until the day.

Ask them to repeat a question if you are unsure.

Good luck.

Have water handy. Make sure you know where the mute button is in case you need to cough. Take the call standing if you can to have deeper breathing and a clearer tone in your voice. Take the call in a quiet place. Have a couple one liners or animal sounds ready for gaps in conversation. Don't stress. Have fun! Best of luck!

Wagga where the Chiko roll was first sold in 1951 at the Wagga Wagga show. I wonder if they built a monument ?

Goodluck woosang.
Hopefully they will put you up for the night, so you canarrive fresh. Otherwise 9.30am is a bit rude.

Drawing board? Oh no! Sorry to hear it didn't work out. Probably means something better is around the corner and fate didn't want you tied up with this. Have a great weekend!

Don't worry about taking your time to give a well-constructed answer! I've been at both ends )(giving and being interviewed) and no it can be stressful! Have a few examples of things from your résumé as explanations ready to go!

The smile piece of advice was the best
