NEW YORK CITY - Long Island Pen Show - Sat & Sun, 1st & 2nd April

Saturday at 8:00am begins the Long Island Pen Show at Hofstra University. The general public is admitted at 10:00am. There will be ample opportunity for pen repair with several repairmen/women and nibmeisters. Stop by our vendor table to say hello!

I went to the LI Pen Show, but only for a couple hours on the last day, very end of the day. I figured it would be a slow period so it would be easy to get some work done by Richard Binder on a few pens. Sure enough he was available and he tuned the nibs of two fountain pens, first correcting a botched nib stubbing job on my LAMY 2000 (I thought it was just a scratchy cursive italic, but it was discovered not to have been done properly and more tipping material removed than necessary) and a slightly mangled nib on a black stripe MYU. Was great to catch up with Ron Zorn and meet a few people I'd not seen in person before. Next time I'm going to go early and on the 1st day, so there might be some good vintage buying opportunities! :)

Was a good time and Saturday was busy and Sunday much more quiet. But so nice to see my pen friends.
