View Full Version : SOLD 1930s Black and Clear Stripe Balance Vac - Restored

Here's a really nice, really clean Balance with black and clear stripes. The transparency on the barrel is excellent. Pen has a firm, fine Waverly Sheaffer two-tone Lifetime nib. The Waverly-style nib has the same up-turn as the Triumph nib, but with that profile in an open nib. If you like the Triumph nib's writing characteristics, it's a lot like that. Pen was professionally restored several years ago and works well. Writes with a firm, wet line. There are a few small scratches on the barrel and clip, but this one really is collector-grade. Imprint is excellent. I don't believe this pen was every used very much.

It's too nice for me to carry back and forth to work every day. $90 shipped in the lower 48.

As requested - writing sample. The pen has a firm nib and I'd place the tip somewhere between fine and medium. Flow is fairly generous - goes great on nice paper like Black & Red.

Still available - great example of a fully restored vac-fill with great transparency in the barrel, as well as a great nib.
