I have a Sheaffer's Balance Canadian lever fill pen, with a gold 3-25 semi-flex fine nib and pencil set for sale. It is a really nice set with no cracks or discoloration. The pen has a synthetic sac so there should not be a problem with discoloration or sack melting. The pencil works well and takes a .9mm lead. There is some brassing on the pen's cap band and lever and on the pencil tip. See photos.
