LOL! Four cats exactly, menacing enough to feel like 8. The only girl hates when I write and will do many things including swipe me. Yes, the Typhoon was a great price, brand new ( shipped directly from Coles, actually) so I am super pleased. Yes, the "mosquito filler" came with though I have not yet inked. Maybe it is just the thing I need to keep the felines at bay!

There are actually two possibilities. One is a 1:1 mix of Diamine Emerald and Diamine Graphite. The other is Noodler' s El Lawrence.

The Noodler' s is almost completely waterproof, and it shades the same way RG does. It has the tiniest hint more gray, but you have to compare swatches side by side in direct, natural light. It is almost completely waterproof.

The Diamine mix is a dead on match for color but doesn't shade quite as well. It still shades some, though. When put to the water test, it is still readable but loses some of the gray component.

Next comes the performance test in daily use. I have the Noodler' s loaded into a pen and will be using it extensively for the next couple of days. Then I'll let it set to see if it dries out.

Woosang and Tracy, thank you for sharing. While that probably won't cure your loss, still it helps others avoid the pitfalls.
FWIW, there may be some protection against scamming in the FPN Classifieds rule, even if minimal: a member may only advertize after having at least 30 non-chatter posts up and at least 30 days of membership. It seems to help some.
Sorry for going off topic.

No rain but yard is still humid enough so plants and trees seem happy.
It's the weekend and I'm home.

He almost got me as well. Just before the trade was to go down Dan informed me that there was something suspicious going on with him. I cancelled the trade right away. I am sorry that folks did get caught up with him. I for one learned a few things and will be more careful from now on. With that, I am thankful for the following 3 things today:

Yes, I am truly Jealous of that fact! We have a local chain called Kaldi's that roasts in St Louis and is pretty good. If you get the whole bean coffee directly from the coffee house it's generally pretty fresh. They distribute to the grocery stores too but it's never the same once it's sat on the shelf for awhile. Sadly the kind at my house is from the grocery store. :(

I will be posting reviews of both pens. :D I just inked the Rotring with Omas Blue as it came with a converter. Initial thoughts: Oooooo techy, pretty, I think I can stub this. How the heck do you get the barrel off? Oh! I see, the little orange tab thingies were keeping it in.

I need a cartridge or a small converter for the Stone Curve. That will have to wait until I get home. The feed looks suspiciously Pilot 78G! :D

You should pull out the La Pavoni and use it. It requires a little trial and error but definitely worth it when you pull good shots. Tuesday, we hiked in our favorite State Park hiking the Waterfall Loop. It was the first time in over a year that I was able to hike it with out total exhaustion.

You have a good eye. It is a Reg Barber tamper. I sent off my basket for him to custom fit one of his tampers. It was one of my best investments as far as improving my espresso shots. If you do not have a good tamper, I would suggest sending off your coffee basket and have him make you one. He does beautiful wood work.

I roast my own coffee. I've been roasting about 14 years now. Before I had kids, I use to make a vacuum pot of coffee before going to work. Now, I make coffee in an automatic machine.

One day I would like have a Mcap grinder. I have heard that the Sylvia is temperamental. I am familiar with coffee geeks. I only have so much time for forums and enjoy the pen forum. I was a member at coffee geeks a long time ago.

I have never tried to sew a pillowcase out of towels but it sounds like a good idea. At one time, I enjoyed cross stitching and sewing. I may take it up again later in life after my children are older. I found it very relaxing.

2. Perfectly sweet and tangy mangoes from the farmers' market.

1. Deciding last night to take today off. Got the oil in the motorcycle changed, which was overdue just a little.
2. Picking up my newest acquisition - a Stipula Paparazzi, blue, with a broad nib. It's an eyedropper. :-) And the nice email from Goulet that they saw my two orders (because I forgot something) and were able to combine them and refund shipping. Love them!
3. Taking an unexpected long nap with my kitty snugged into my side. I say some pizza for dinner will make this just right.
