Up for sale is a Brown Tortoise Pelikan 400NN fountain pen from ca. 1957-63 with the original smooth 14C gold F (Fine) nib.

This pen is not necessarily a collector's item as it shows signs of use but works, filles and writes perfectly: it would be ideal for a workhorse pen.
Features:
- Original 14 C gold F nib that offers some line variation.
- Ebonite feed
- Transparent barrel with ink residue (please refer to photos).
- Piston filling mechanism that works flawlessly, fills the pen with ease to its maximum ink capacity.
- Please check the writing samples below.
- Flaws: there are some scratches and microscratches on the pen. There are three hairline cracks on the cap. Please note that the cap has a metal inner cap so hairline cracks on the celluloid outer cap does not affect functionality. The inner cap and the rest of the pen is free of cracks. Slight loss of gold plating on the edge of the capband, please see HQ photos.
No box or papers.
I tried my very best to make decent photos and video of the pen, Please check them as they are part of this offer and are the best way to describe the pen.
*The writing sample contains a mistake, the pen is a Pelikan 400 NN, not a Pelikan 400 as mentioned in the writing sample.
