As always, thank you for reading.

Bogon07 was nice enough to entertain the idea of writing a review for my blog and I appreciate it. In the interest of blogger/review transparency, I did not place any type of requirements on the review and as far as I know, Ken paid for his own notebook. The full set of pictures can be found on the blog and you will want to see all the penguin sketches. Especially, the rare Tarquinberry Penguin. Nice review! I bought one last year before I went on holiday and filled it up and mailed it. I didn't use a fountain pen to write /draw in it (instead I used a pigma micron) and added a teeny bit of watercolour to the drawings. I didn't think it could handle more than that, but I did use both sides of the pages this way. Very nice idea, for me the pages should thicken up a bit though...

Thanks for the review!

Yes I did purchase it with my own allowance money at Kinokuniya Sydney. I chose it so I wouldn't need to take any photos for KIs blog.
Gee, I didn't realise how much the Iroshizuku Fuyu-syogun on the snorkle went through the paper until now.

Oh and be careful about how much stuff you jam into the envelope as the supplied sticker may not hold it securely. I had to use some extra bits of tape to make sure it didn't pop open.

KI, how did the paper do with Leigh Reyes' calligraphy and ink splodges ? Did she use the cahier (how I hate that word) or the larger one.

How did the fibre tip pen go on the paper ?
I was thinking that you would tend to use one of those quick drying permanent pens if you were intending to use these little notebooks as momentos of special trips or events.
I can imagine with access to the full range of covers you could colour code them for different cities on a trip or different people at special occassion.

As you say a thicker paper than the 100gsm would be better say 125 or more, especially if you were intending to use watercolour for drawing or tinting.

Overall it is a great idea by Moleskine although it could do will a bit of refining with more pages and thicker paper to give better value for your money.

Fantastic, this is! The 3 Penguins were all so wonderful that only later did I go back and read carefully, and realize there's also an excellent review of the item itself. I really hope the Penguins show up again to have adventures in other posts and reviews: I imagine they have a lot of interesting things to say. Thanks, KI and Ken!
