Offered for sale is a gorgeous Nakaya Portable Writer in Kuro Tamenuri finish. So much has been written about Nakayas and their superb urushi finishes, I won’t repeat the glowing reviews here, other than to say these pens are as good as they come. The only reason I am selling this one is that I currently have 10 Nakayas and simply can’t use them all.
The pen sports a 14K gold BB nib ground to Stub by John Mottishaw. It fills via the included converter or by a cartridge. The pen writes beautifully (as do all Nakayas) as the writing sample below shows.
The pen is very lightly pre-loved. I do not have the original box or kimono. If that is a deal breaker for you, I can supply a box and kimono from a different Nakaya at slight additional cost.
Price of the pen with the nib customization if purchased from nibs.com is $705 but you can do much better here by purchasing this lightly pre-loved beauty.
$625 plus $16 Priority Insured shipping in US.
