You are invited to:

The 1st annual Pacific Northwest Regional Pen Round-Up!

Saturday July 13th, 2013 - 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

At The Lucky Lab Brewing Company

1945 N.W. Quimby Street
Portland, Oregon, U.S.A.

A Pen Round-Up? Everything to do with pens and writing instruments! To buy, sell, trade, show, inform, talk, listen, learn, mingle, have fun and share our collective addiction to pens and other writing instruments!

The table charge will be nominal and we don’t expect we will charge admission.

We are holding the Pen Round-Up! on Saturday, this year, so that people will have time to travel to and from Portland. If successful, we hope to expand it to a two or three day event in years to come. (This was the same weekend as Carla Mortensen’s Portland Pen Show.)

The Lucky Lab (a micro brewery) offers traditional pizza, assorted sandwiches and salad, beer, wine, soda, coffee and tea. It is located a couple of blocks from N. W. 21st and 23rd avenues which have large numbers of restaurants and many shops/boutiques. It is very close to the freeways, downtown and an easy freeway drive of 7 miles from Expo. This is a non-smoking environment.

The Pen Round-Up! will be held during the weekend of the Summer Palmer Antique (Expo) show. For those who would like to attend the antique show, it is the largest antique show in the Pacific Northwest. The show has 300 outside booths and 1000 indoor booths, so be prepared! Early admission on Friday July 12th is $30.00, Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th regular admission is $7.00. Parking is $8.00 per day. The antique show is held at the Multnomah Expo Center on Marine Drive. http://christinepalmer.net/

If you would like to attend the Pen Round-Up! to sell pens and other items, please contact Stuart Hawkinson s.hawkinson@comcast.net and/or Michael McNeil michael@northwestpenworks.com to reserve tables. Please make table reservations as early as possible as space may be limited!

Hotels around Portland fill up quickly for the antique show and other events around town, so I would suggest that you make your hotel reservations as soon as possible. It is usually a great time to visit Portland. The climate is moderate compared to other parts of the county, and there is plenty to see in Portland and its environs this time of the year.

The event will be informal and open to all with an interest in writing instruments.

We are hoping to see you here in July!

Alcohol, pens and pizza a combination to make the creditcard tremble in fear and anticipation.

Sadly and somewhat luckily the whole Pacific Ocean away and Mrs Bogon has booked me as a baggage handler for the Bendigo Wool Show then.

Could be convenient for a few of the InCoPenPals according to my limited US geography.
