Here is a rare French pen in a very rare colour made from a rare material.
Brand: Autograph [08] (Imprint on the barrel)
Country of manufacture: France
Material: Cap and barrel are made of caseïne, (also known as Galalith) in gray base color, marbled or swirled with black and purple.
No cracks or hairlines, some very light and small scratches due to age. Section and feeder are made of hard rubber (ebonite)
Clip and cap band are Chrome or nickle plated iron, some plating loss on the clip.
Filling system: Button filler (with a new ink sac)
Nib: Original steel nib, f/m, marked Autograph S3 Warranted. The nib has an iridium tip.
Length capped: 120mm

Without cap: 108mm
Width over barrel: 12mm
Over cap:14mm
The pen is completely restored by me and writes soft & wet.
Warning: Caseïne objects can be treated and cleaned as celluloid. It is, like celluloid, not very resistant to heat and may not be kept in water for a long time, because then it will swell and disintegrate.
