I'm considering trading for one, is it true they ALL have nib issues?

No, it is not true by a long shot. The more one pays for (or trades for) a pen, the higher the expectations. Like any pen, new or used, be prepared for wanting it tweaked to your liking.

No issues with mine. It's been a daily writer for the past 2 years now.
