I travel full time and don’t have the original box with me. I’d like to sell this pen in person in either in Toronto (I’ll be there from September 17-21, and would expect about $400 CAD for it), or in the Los Angeles or San Diego area (after September 21). If that doesn’t work out, I’ll find a box to ship it in.
The pen is in great shape. I believe the cap clip has been modified by a previous owner - they removed the black paint, so it is shiny metal now. The word “Visconti” is still visible on both sides and is slightly raised. I think the pen looks better this way and I imagine that’s why they did it.
It writes very well. I believe there is a bit more feedback than most of the Visconti palladium nibs have. It doesn’t bother me and I haven’t smoothed it. Different inks change the amount of feedback. If you like some feedback, this is a good one for you. If you don’t, smoothing a nib is quite easy.
It writes well. Flow is consistent. No hard starts or any kind of writing problems. It will write with zero/little pressure. The pen is in great shape. I can't find any signs of wear on the material (wear doesn’t really happen or show much on these lava resin pens).
I have nornal/smallish hands and I’ve found this more comfortable than the full size Homo Sapiens. I have many other pens, I’m on a tight budget, and I don’t feel I get enough enjoyment from it to justify keeping an expensive pen like this, so I might as well send it along to someone else who will.
You want this pen. You NEED this pen. It's made of LAVA!
