Condition (n.b.): These sets are in good working order. Pens are guaranteed to fill to capacity and write smoothly a consistently. Pencils are guaranteed to protract, retract, and grip lead as designed. Pens and pencils have no chips, cracks, personalizations, missing or mismatched parts, bent nibs, or misaligned tines.
Shipping: To CONUS locations buyer may opt for either:
USPS First-Class with tracking for $4;
USPS Priority with tracking for $7.

Order, Payment, & Guarantee: Pens are placed on hold for the first person to PM me with firm request to purchase, to which I’ll reply with payment details. If I haven't received Paypal payment within 24 hrs, then they become available to the next person. All pens are guaranteed to be in the condition in which I've described them. If I've missed something or the filling mechanism is not fully functional, the buyer may contact me up to 7 days after receiving the pen for a full refund (issued once I receive the pen back in the same condition as sold). 1. 1939-40 Sheaffer Balance Statesman Set (Carmine, full-sized, GPT, lever filler, F 14k Lifetime nib). An exquisite wartime set in the beautiful Carmine color. Near mint condition. The pen even has the original sac, imprinted “Sheaffer Anode / Made in U.S.A.” (The sac seems to be as pliable as a new one and pen fills to capacity, but I can outfit a replacement on request at no extra charge). Pen is the full-sized Statesman model, measuring 5 ½” capped. Firm 14k two-tone Lifetime nib with “Waverly” style upturned point is a buttery smooth F. Aside from testing then flushing the pen and shining up the trim with a jeweler’s cloth, I’ve done nothing by way of functional or cosmetic restoration. Though it showed evidence of having been inked when I picked it up, it’s obvious from the condition of the sac and finish on the surface of the pen that it’s scarcely ever been used. No brassing whatever to the trim, deep imprint, and ink-view window has superb transparency. The pencil is also near-mint and fully functional. Even the box, which features patriotic wartime accents, is close to immaculate. Price: $180 SOLD

2. 1950s Parker 51 Special Set (Midnight Blue, full-sized, Lustraloy caps, aerometric/hoop filler, F nib). Another near-mint set that appears to have spent most of it’s lifetime stowed away. Includes original pricetag and instructions pamphlet in accordion fold. I’ve always preferred the more vibrant Midnight blue to the subdued Cedar blue of the Vac 51s. The former is dark teal under natural light while the latter is closer to black in most conditions. Pen and pencil are fully functional. Pli-glass sac on the pen is sound with great transparency. Nib on the pen lays down a smooth and consistent F line. No dents/dings to the caps. Sharply pointed jewels. Smooth, lustrous finish to the plastic on both pieces. Price: $70 SOLD
