Pelikan M400 with OM nib $86

I am selling this pen at such a low price for two reasons. It appears that the piston knob has been replaced with a brown knob that would typically be on this same model but in the Tortoise color. It is only really noticeable in very bright light, direct light. Otherwise it looks black and matches the rest of the pen, and you really would have no idea it wasn't the correct piston knob. You can see this in the pictures I provided. The one where it looks brown is literally with my desk lamp right above it. The other picture with the cap off is normal lighting. The piston functions as desired, but I believe the seal will need to be replaced. There were times when I used the pen and there were fine amounts of ink on the knob.

The real beauty of this pen is the vintage nib it comes with. As I understand it, this nib would have been from the older 400's, but as many of you know Pelikan nibs are easily interchangeable. It is a 14kt OM nib, which I believe stands for oblique medium. It is a left foot oblique. There is lots of flex in the nib and it is in great condition.

I think you will find this pen is priced to sell and is a very fair price. I am selling it for $86 shipped to CONUS. Payment through PayPal.
