A few weeks ago I received my first Nakaya Neo Standard in Heki-Tamenuri from nibs.com. I am so thrilled with this pen. The feel and nib were amazing. I instantly saw why so many have been bitten by the Nakaya bug.

The Nakaya is simple and understated, yet the feel of the craftsmanship can be sensed. As I started to use the pen as a daily writer, I noticed that the cap final was a bit off. I understand that these are completely hand made by men almost 2 times my age so I'm not complaining. None the less, it was a expensive purchase and I wanted as close to perfection as possible.

So with some input from others, I decided to send it back to Classic Fountain pen for adjustment. I made 1 call to them and there was no issue, I was told to send it back and they will make it right. I did and 1 1/2 weeks later I received it back and the final is seated a perfect as can be. I'm not sure why this was missed during inspection but the issue was resolved, no questions asked.

FYI - for the brave, there is a screw inside the cap which will loosen the cap final, there were a few people from my old post, who did loosen the screw to tweak the placement themselves. I was not brave enough to do it this time....
