Lagacy II metal barrel having intermittent fill quantities.

I have a NOS out of guarantee that has the vac fill mechanism. It seems to tank up well sometimes when I can get it to expel the most air bubbles when in the ink.
There are times when I can't get it too take up a big drink.
Is this a common condition?

Yes I think jar may be right. :) I replaced the large, fat, O-ring on my Legacy V1 and was surprised how much better it filled afterwards. :)
I don't know exactly where the other seal is, but I fear that it may not be replaceable because access isn't via a screw but via a rivet that cannot be undone and replaced easily. I don't know if the V2 is the same though.

It's not easy to get the large fat O-rings either. many people sell large O-rings that fit the PFM but they aren't the fat ones that are required for the Legacy. I bought thin ones before I found fat ones. :(
