Montblanc 146 - Broad Nib
Piston Filler - works as it should, super smooth piston, easy to use. Appears to be a Brass Piston.
Clear ink window is nice feature on these Montblancs, tells you when you need to fill ink.
Great condition, no major scratches (light scratches from use as with any older pens), no chips or cracks. Overall nice and shiny.
14k Gold Broad Nib - Great writer, very smooth and pleasure to write with. Lays down a nice wet line and provides very good shading enough with noodlers black. When I did the writing sample I thought it might have been an oblique broad nib but when i took the close up pictures it looks more like a regular broad, someone correct me if i am wrong.
The nib has gained a nice patina with time, it is a reddish-gold color now, looks very nice and gives this pen great character in my humble opinion.
I don't know much about Montblancs 146 I'd appreciate it if anyone on this forum can tell me more about this pen here.
The feed appears to be ebonite, not sure. I guess this Montblanc was made like the 1980s? Again not sure.
Asking $225
