Columbus 140 Fountain Pen
Great condition, looks like it was hardly use
Piston Filler - operates smoothly, works as it should, easily sucks up ink
This pen is unique because it looks like a hybrid between a Parker 51 and an Aurora 88.
Like the Aurora 88, this pen has an piston filler, ink window, and semi-flex nib, is made of celluloid, and manufactured in Italy.
This pen is similar in length and diameter to the Parker 51 and uses the same clutch ring on barrel and clutch in the cap. This cap and the parker 51 caps are interchangeable and can be used in one another, i have tried it.
Appears to be Gold Nib - smooth writer, semi flexible, fine point. Lays down a nice wet line on normal writing.
When flexing, there is occasional railroading but i was using noodlers black so it might have been due to the ink, perhaps with more lubricating ink there will be less railroading.
Asking $85
